Looking for hotel luxury without the cost? Look no further! Welcome to the Capistrano Beach Cottage! We are a “coastal modern” beach cottage located in the beautiful city of Dana Point, California. The beach cottage is part of a duplex. The cottage featured in this listing is a 3-bedroom and 2-bath (half of the duplex). *[If you're interested in renting the other half of the duplex it is also available for rent, a 2-bedroom/1 bath cottage (VRBO listing 732348). Book both sides for a large family group, which can sleep up to 14 people.]

This recently remodeled luxurious 3-bedroom and 2-bath home is located just a half a mile from the beautiful beach. To take advantage of all the fun in the sun we offer 6 beach cruisers, surf & boogie boards, a stylish patio, and so much more!
Inspired by the easy breezy feel of beach living and modern luxury, the Capistrano Beach Cottage has been designed with hotel-like appeal while providing a relaxed beach-life atmosphere. Get away from the everyday and escape to luxury right here!
Location, Location, Location! Walk to the beach! The Capistrano Beach Cottage is conveniently located ½ mile (just a 10-minute walk) to the beach, and a few minutes away by car to local grocery, restaurants, and the most breathtaking beaches in all of Southern California.
The beach cottage has been designed to provide you with similar luxuries to a resort-style hotel. The master bedroom features a cozy king bed, and crisp white linens. Open the barn door to the luxurious ensuite bathroom featuring a custom walk-in rain shower, his and hers vanity, and a private restroom. The bathroom comes stocked with spa-style robes and slippers, a one-day supply of hotel-sized toiletries, hair dryer, and other essentials.
The second bedroom features a comfortable queen-sized bed, crisp linens, and plenty of comfortable blankets and pillows. The third bedroom is perfect for the kids, with a full and twin sized bunk bed plus a trundle on the bottom, and everything that is needed for a relaxing night’s sleep after a long day at the beach.
Unlike many of the properties in the area, our cottage features central heating and air conditioning to keep cool on warm summer days. Need to do laundry? No problem! We’ve got you covered with a full-size washer and dryer, along with all you need to make your clothes fresh and clean. Bath and beach towels are provided for your stay compliments of us.
Why dine out when you can make an amazing meal in our fully stocked gourmet kitchen? We have everything you can possibly think of for cooking up a storm -- an assortment of cookware, bakeware and kitchen staples such as spices, condiments, oils, sugar, butter, flour, coffee, tea, and more.
The beach cottage has been designed for your ultimate entertainment experience with an open concept living room, dining room and kitchen to chat with your guests. The living room boasts a flat screen TV with over 150 channels, a DVD player, and Wi-Fi access.
Step outside to the stylish patio furnished with a comfortable, vacation-club inspired sofa set, gas BBQ, retractable awning, and the perfect surroundings of the natural beauty of this quiet neighborhood.
Looking to take a bike ride down to the beach? We've thought of it all! We have four top-of-the line beach cruisers and two children’s scooters waiting for you to take for a spin! There is also an assortment of beach equipment available for your use, including surf boards, body boards, beach chairs, an umbrella, and a cooler. All of which are available for you to use at any time.

This place was in a perfect location while we were in town to go to the beach and visit family. The water pressure in the bathrooms could have been better and it would have been nice to have more than 3 wine glasses available. However, the place was clean and in a nice safe area. We would like to stay here again next year when we come to visit family.

Dana Point is probably one of the prettiest places I’ve ever stayed. The beaches are gorgeous and during spring break not crowded at all. We enjoyed our stay very much at this beautiful beach inspired home that’s just a few blocks away from the beach. We took advantage of the grocery delivery service and still saved some money by making our own healthy meals at home.

We actually live in San Diego, but wanted to see a different part of the coast and found this rental on Airbnb. In the description over and over it talks about the beach and the bikes. This is the main reason we went with this property. We envisioned ourselves riding bikes along the beach daily. I even looked at a map to be sure how close we were to the beach. What the maps and the booking don’t tell you is that to get to the beach there is a huge hill! I’m not kidding. It is the tsunami escape route, that’s how steep it is! So we never got to use the bikes and that was a huge disappointment. So I just want to let others know. Other than that a nice place. But the beachiest thing about it is really the decor.

Accessed the rental with no trouble. Easy access code granted. Lots of instructions around the home to help us get acclimated. Beds were all comfortable and baths had plenty of towels. Place had been cleaned thoroughly. Loved the available beach towels and beach chairs for our use.
Location was convenient to Dana Point, Laguna and San Clemente.
Only things we had to purchase were additional toilet paper and dishwasher pods.
Wifi and TV worked well. Enjoyed the outdoor patio in the evening.

We had the best stay at this beautifully updated and gorgeously decorated beach cottage. It was so comfortable and fit our family perfectly. The bedrooms were spacious and the kitchen was great to cook our family meals. The gathering space was plentiful with a comfortable living room and awesome outdoor sitting area where we started and ended our days. We had a classic California experience thanks to the garage full of surf boards, boogie boards, bikes and beach chairs which we used almost daily. We were 5 minutes from Doheny State park and minutes from any store we needed. Being close to both I-5 and the Pacific Coast Highway made this the perfect location! We hope to come back and stay again!

This property was perfect for our family. It had plenty of room and everything we needed for an amazing stay on Dana Point. The beach items and bikes made it great as we didn’t need to bring all our stuff! Very convenient location close to everything in Dana Point and other nearby beach cities. Friendly property managers/owners! Only minor thing that would make it better was it was on a hill and walking to beach or to eat was not easy. Quick and easy drive anywhere, so could be anywhere in minutes...so it wasn’t an issue! Thank you for such a nice stay...we will be back!

The rental property was meticulously cleaned. The linens, floors, dishes... it felt more like a hotel than a vacation rental home. We especially loved the beach equipment that was available to use, specifically the beach cruisers and beach chairs! We hosted a few family members and the kitchen was perfect space/equipment to cook our own breakfast and we enjoyed each other’s company on the outdoor patio furniture that was in the gated front yard. The walls are thin in the rooms you share with the other renters in the duplex, but our neighbors were respectful and quiet during our stay!

This place has it all! Incredibily clean, fresh bed and bath linens, well apppointed kitchen and clear directions listed in view for anything you may have a question on. Plenty of room to move around. Both bathrooms have plenty of space and well stocked. A big draw to renting this place were the beach cruiser bikes and then we ran out of time to even use them. We ended up driving to the beach. It's about 1/2 mile and downhill to the beach and an inline back up. Highly recommend this place.

Our stay at this beach cottage was perfect. We were in California to celebrate my father’s 100th birthday. We had many events and the Cottage was perfectly located. Close to the beach, Lego Land, the retirement community, San Juan Capistrano and Dana Point. It was extremely clean, in a quiet neighborhood, beds were comfortable, everything we wanted. This is an exceptionally clean and well maintained rental.The kitchen is large, easy to use and well stocked with everything possible. We enjoyed the front patio with retractable sunshade and very clean gas grill. Happy it had air conditioning given the extreme hot weather. Plenty of towels were provided along with lots of beach chairs, bikes etc.

My family and I had a fabulous time. The place was in an amazing location, excellent neighborhood, & was super clean! Kudos to the cleaning crew for sure! Many considerate touches were appreciated such as, coffee, a generous supply of quality toilet paper & beach towels! Thank you for the excellent communication and instructions. We would absolutely come back!

Stayed here with my husband and 2 adult children in June 2022. We had a wonderful stay. Beds were comfortable; kitchen was well appointed and equipped. We walked to the beach each morning and husband picked us up to drive us up the hill. Near Dana Point Harbor and Doheny Beach.

Property very clean. Beach chairs and coolers were great to have. Walking to beach was possible, but not really doable with kids and if you wanted to take chairs etc., but only about a 5 minute drive. Restaurants close driving distance, but not walking distance.

Well stocked home with beach items and bikes. The kitchen was well stocked with pans and spices. The beds were very comfortable and there was extra towels. Very nice rental. In our opinion not close enough to walk to the beach with kids but the beach close by and a very nice clean beach. The neighbors were very friendly and helpful.

We were unable to go but part of the group was able to go and they said it was very nice. There was a minor issue with bikes but I wasn’t there. I’ve done a ton of VRBO and would have liked some leniency on sudden plans with our Marine unable to attend-most give at least 1/2 back within 14 days (we notified at 17 days out) so a good lesson to always check refund policy. But it was the policy and the members who went thought location and amenities so nice.

The rental is in a wonderful location on a quiet street. Home is well appointed with plenty of room for a small family. Very easy to access and communication with the owners was fantastic. We loved our stay at this Dana Point gem. It had all the needed space, amenities, frills we needed to make our SoCal trip a delight.
We love to play board games after unwinding after a day at the beach and the large kitchen table was a perfect place for all to huddle around.
And the beaches - there is a nice stash of beach paraphernalia to make your beach visits complete, so don't worry.

This house was the perfect setting for our beach getaway with our family. Our girls are 17 and 12 and there was plenty of room for us. The house came with all of the ammenities. Beach towels and toys, kitchen accessories, extra towels and comfort. We loved exploring SJC and San Clemente. Close to great shopping and restaurants. Spent a few days hanging out in Dana Point

This place had everything you could need to enjoy yourself in a home away from home. The neighborhood is quiet. My guests never had trouble finding parking. It’s fully loaded with all beach goodies you can want. The patio was big enough to enjoy. Place was really clean. Check in was super easy. Beach is very close. You can order at almost every restaurant with door dash. It’s was great.

A very well decorated condo with all the amenities you might need for your stay. I really liked the layout of the condo: bedrooms in the back and a big open kitchen/living room. The neighborhood is really nice for walks, runs and a few nearby parks for kids. The beach is an easy 5-10 minute drive. Many restaurants and shops nearby. Highly recommend this place!

Miriam’s place was better than we though. I really liked the beach decor and stylish design . House was very clean, it had everything we needed and more , she even provided robes and disposable slippers which I really liked . We will definitely come back.

I have lived in many air bnb around US and this was by far the cleanest and nicest. You feel welcomed The moment you enter the house . You can literally smell the cleanliness. Each and everything is beyond excellent . Be it the kitchen appliances, crockery , electronics , fixtures etc . The mattresses were beyond our expectations . All three rooms have excellent mattresses. The kitchen was stocked with blender, hand blender, slow cooker , spices , oil , coffee , sugar, and what not. Everything was spot less . Even the drawers smelled nice. The garage has lots of stuff like bikes, beach toys, scooters etc. my kids had a blast . We enjoyed our evenings sitting outside in the beautiful peaceful patio. Miriam for sure went above and beyond to take care of us. The attention to detail was impeccable . The art work and light fixture around the houses made our house even more pleasant . I would come here again whenever I am in town without thinking twice . I wish we could have stayed longer but it was all booked . Thanks Miriam for hosting us and giving us chance to enjoy the beyond beautiful house .

Rented both sides of the duplex for a wedding - perfect setup for parents to sleep on one side and bridal party to sleep on the other side. Every detail was carefully planned! The amenities are so thoughtful. It had everything you could possibly need! 10/10 recommend!
